Conference Live Auction “Sneak Peek”

Last year when I was at the eWomenNetwork Conference, one of the most exciting parts for me was the Live Auction on the first night.  This is an amazing part of the event, with all of the proceeds from the auction going to the eWomenNetwork Foundation.

It’s a good idea to take a peek at what will be up for auction this year so you can prepare in advance … AND – FYI … if you know of someone who would LOVE to bid on one of these packages, but they just aren’t able to attend the Conference, this year they’ll be taking telephone bids, so you can still enter the bidding for these great packages, even if you’re not able to attend in person!

Take a look at these great packages in advance so you’ll be ready for the auction … NEXT Thursday night!

Let’s Take Twitter by Storm!

During the eWomenNetwork Conference, it’s a great idea to utilize Twitter to coordinate with your girlfriends and stay connected.  I know that’s how I’m going to be keeping track of where the “events after the event” will be, and to connect with my friends that I only get to see once each year!

But at 11AM on Saturday, August 8th – we want to take Twitter by storm and have eWomenNetwork show up in the trending topics on Twitter – giving eWomenNetwork visibility around the world!

To do this, we need your help!  On Saturday (August 8th) at 11AM (CST), please Tweet a message on Twitter and include “#ewomen” in your message.  (Known as a “hashtag” this aggregates all of the Tweets about any one subject for easier searching).

This will occur during our Social Networking Revolution presentation on the Main Stage during the conference – and you won’t want to miss it!  Plan to either Tweet from your mobile device, or visit www.TweetLater.com and schedule a Tweet to happen at exactly 11AM CST on Saturday the 8th.

What should you Tweet?  Here are some suggestions, or feel free to improvise as inspiration strikes!

  • Having a great time at the @eWomenNetwork Conference!  #ewomen
  • Building my business with @eWomenNetwork!  #ewomen
  • Networking is fun, easy and profitable with @eWomenNetwork!  #ewomen

See you at the eWomenNetwork Conference!

New Study Shows Link Between Social Media and Financial Success

One of the questions I receive often when I’m talking about Social Media is — where’s the Return on Investment?

It’s a topic that is near and dear to my heart, as a business owner myself I am always looking for ways to justify anything I do against a return for the dollars (or the time) I invest.

But social media is different – and can’t be measured with the same yardstick used to measure traditional media purchases.

Because of my involvement with social media, I was particularly intrigued by a new study released by Wetpaint and the Altimeter Group discussing this topic.  They found:

After examining the companies and their social media activity levels, the brands were ranked on an “engagement scale” where scores ranged from a high of 127 to a low of 1. Those brands that were the most engaged saw their revenue grow over the past year by 18% while the least engaged brands saw losses of negative 6%.

WOW!  I’ll be talking about how you can measure your ROI with social media – how you can know whether you are being productive or just wasting your time – during my break-out session on Saturday during the eWomenNetwork Conference … you won’t want to miss it!

A Great Tip to Maximize Your Conference Experience!

Sheryl Eldene

Sheryl Eldene

Are you getting excited about this year’s eWomenNetwork in Dallas?  I know I am.

Today’s post is compliments of eWomenNetwork Coach, Sheryl Eldene, where she provides a great tip on how we can all make the most of every opportunity for success at this year’s event.

Most of us get ready for a conference by signing up, getting our transportation arranged, find the clothes we’d like to wear, and choose which breakout sessions that we’d like to attend.  Here’s a tip for going home with exactly what you want.  This week, set your intention for what you want from your conference experience.  The opportunities at the conference are GINOURMOUS, and a little focus will help you navigate the territory.  Here’s some sample intentions for attending any conference:

1.    Make XX additional network connections for potential clients
2.    Find XX connection for help with_______________________
3.    Make XX network connections for people I’d like to mentor
4.    Make XX connections with people I’d like to be mentored by
5.    Learn more about ____________________(e.g. social media marketing)
6.    Have a blast, socially, and come home with some wonderful friends that I connect with through the year
7.    Take opportunities available to give back, find out who I could help this year
8.    Maintain a good balance of with people, and alone time (especially important to the introverts among us)
9.    Focus completely on self care, and flow in the moment

When you have your own personal intentions set, write them down, keep them with you, and be amazed at how just the right people connect with you, and just the perfect opportunities show up effortlessly.

Sheryl Eldene specializes in Life Coaching, Health Coaching and Counseling; you can learn more about Sheryl on her eWomenNetwork Profile – or connect with her at the Conference.  See you there!

eWomenNetwork Members Cross Borders to Work Together and See Amazing Results in Return

Debbie Mrazek, President, The Sales Company

Debbie Mrazek, President, The Sales Company

Is eWomenNetwork fantastic, or what?!?

Debbie Mrazek of The Sales Company and Kim Duke, a.k.a. The Sales Diva, would by most traditional standards be considered competitors … but instead of battling it out for business, they recently teamed up, with some great results!

Debbie and Kim hosted “Stiletto Camp” June 17 – 18, 2009 in Dallas, Texas and through an eWomenNetwork connection, received this great news story on NBC as a result.

Then, through another eWomenNetwork member connection, Debbie was awarded a great speaking gig where she’ll have the opportunity to share her expertise and promote her business.

Says Debbie,

Today I am writing to THANK YOU again for ANOTHER opportunity because of eWomenNetwork!!  I am going to be speaking for 1500 Beauticontrol ladies on Managing Multiple Projects, Objectives and Deadlines as it relates to selling, booking and recruiting…..yippeeee….and YES it is a PAID gig that also offers me the opportunity to sell my books, programs, etc., at the back of the room….can you see me TWIRLING!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????:)

Congratulations to both of these dynamic eWomenNetwork members!  By opening their minds to new ways of working together, Debbie and Kim have seen terrific results!

Social Media in Action for this Niche Product

When I’m doing workshops on Social Media, one of the comments I frequently hear is that “social media won’t work for my business” — from a variety of business owners and for a variety of reasons.

What I’ve found is that it’s a rare business today that cannot benefit from implementing a social media strategy — here’s a great example of how a very large company (General Mills) is implementing Social Media to go after a niche market for one of their products — the great news is, Social Media works even better for smaller companies who want to get the word out about their products and services, without a huge advertising budget.

Why Are Business Women Raving About this Movie?

What is it about those people that have the “It factor”?  They stand out and attract others to them like a magnet.  They have a power that emanates from within and it creates a life force that GLOWS.

We often hear in our vernacular:

  • Intelligent people are bright
  • Talented people shine
  • Happy people beam
  • Successful people are on fire
  • Wise people are enlightened

Did you know that you embody brilliance and that your GLOW will ignite and illuminate your dreams once you embrace your passion?  Your happiness is dependent on your ability to align with your innermost truth.  How do you get to GLOW?  How do you manifest the “It factor” within you?   How do you find the courage to live your passion when forces around you fill you with fear and doubt?  You may feel alone, but you are not alone.

In fact, the good news for you is that you already have GLOW.  You don’t have to change who you are to become some else.  You need only to learn how to manifest and tap into your own incredible GLOW.

Nine years ago, Sandra Yancey founded a company called eWomenNetwork.  Her goal was to develop a community of women helping women achieve, succeed and prosper in business.  Marveling at how well men networked, she focused on creating a system that supported the unique ways in which women liked to connect and collaborate.  Today, Sandra has one of the most successful women’s business networks in North America with over 500,000 women connected to eWomenNetwork with 118 chapters.  Annually her organization produces more than 2,000 events for women entrepreneurs. In the process of building eWomenNetwork, Sandra began to notice how certain women clearly had that “It Factor,” that GLOW.  She learned what it was and produced what women around the globe are saying is the most inspiring and empowering movie they have ever seen.  For many women this movie is the catalyst for breaking free of limiting beliefs and owning their passion.  The movie is called the GLOW Project.  The word GLOW is an acronym for Giving Ladies Our Wisdom.

“While it is invisible, women can see it.  While it cannot be touched, women can feel it.”

Your success can no longer be denied.  Find out how to tap into and ignite your GLOW.
