Social Media in Action for this Niche Product

When I’m doing workshops on Social Media, one of the comments I frequently hear is that “social media won’t work for my business” — from a variety of business owners and for a variety of reasons.

What I’ve found is that it’s a rare business today that cannot benefit from implementing a social media strategy — here’s a great example of how a very large company (General Mills) is implementing Social Media to go after a niche market for one of their products — the great news is, Social Media works even better for smaller companies who want to get the word out about their products and services, without a huge advertising budget.

Why Are Business Women Raving About this Movie?

What is it about those people that have the “It factor”?  They stand out and attract others to them like a magnet.  They have a power that emanates from within and it creates a life force that GLOWS.

We often hear in our vernacular:

  • Intelligent people are bright
  • Talented people shine
  • Happy people beam
  • Successful people are on fire
  • Wise people are enlightened

Did you know that you embody brilliance and that your GLOW will ignite and illuminate your dreams once you embrace your passion?  Your happiness is dependent on your ability to align with your innermost truth.  How do you get to GLOW?  How do you manifest the “It factor” within you?   How do you find the courage to live your passion when forces around you fill you with fear and doubt?  You may feel alone, but you are not alone.

In fact, the good news for you is that you already have GLOW.  You don’t have to change who you are to become some else.  You need only to learn how to manifest and tap into your own incredible GLOW.

Nine years ago, Sandra Yancey founded a company called eWomenNetwork.  Her goal was to develop a community of women helping women achieve, succeed and prosper in business.  Marveling at how well men networked, she focused on creating a system that supported the unique ways in which women liked to connect and collaborate.  Today, Sandra has one of the most successful women’s business networks in North America with over 500,000 women connected to eWomenNetwork with 118 chapters.  Annually her organization produces more than 2,000 events for women entrepreneurs. In the process of building eWomenNetwork, Sandra began to notice how certain women clearly had that “It Factor,” that GLOW.  She learned what it was and produced what women around the globe are saying is the most inspiring and empowering movie they have ever seen.  For many women this movie is the catalyst for breaking free of limiting beliefs and owning their passion.  The movie is called the GLOW Project.  The word GLOW is an acronym for Giving Ladies Our Wisdom.

“While it is invisible, women can see it.  While it cannot be touched, women can feel it.”

Your success can no longer be denied.  Find out how to tap into and ignite your GLOW.

Happy Independence Day!

In America, tomorrow marks the celebration of our independence as a nation – our freedom as a country.  Amongst all of the parades, parties and fireworks celebrating our national freedom, let’s also remember to celebrate the freedoms and opportunities we have as entrepreneurs, business owners and women in business as well.  In case you feel like breaking out in a round of our National Anthem, here’s a link to it’s words and history.

Happy 4th of July!

Mari Smith, Social Media Business Consultant, Speaker and Trainer to Speak at Conference!

Yesterday, Facebook announced that they are opening up the capability for anyone with a Facebook account to make their Facebook status updates available to everyone (regardless of whether they have an account or not).  As stated on the All Facebook blog, “Facebook has been taking one step after another to try to build in Twitter functionality within their system and I have to say that this new version of publishing is a huge step forward.”

What I think it means is that it’s more critical than it ever has been for all of us to be up to speed on using social media sites like Facebook to market our business.  And lucky for us, we have Mari Smith, one of the country’s premier Facebook experts coming to share with us at the eWomenNetwork International Conference & Business Expo this August.

You won’t want to miss it!

eWomenNetwork’s Got Talent!

The entire eWomenNetwork Conference this year is going to be amazing – and here’s just one of the reasons why!  For all of you who want to get your “inner Susan Boyle” on — if you’ve got talent – be it singing, dancing, stand-up comedy – whatever it is, eWomenNetwork is going to be selecting up to 12 individuals and showcasing them in front of an international audience at this year’s Conference during eWomenNetwork’s Got Talent!

Just one more reason why you DON’T want to miss this year’s event!    It’s going to be HOT in Dallas this August, and I’m not talking about the weather, either!

See you there ……
