Embrace Your Unique Perspective

Research tells us that no two brains are wired the same way. We are all unique in how we perceive the world and react to what happens around and to us. Our interpretations of what happens around and to us are based upon all of our experiences from the moment we are born (if not before). Every new piece of information you receive and the accompanying emotional interpretation of that information or experience affects the wiring of your brain.

In addition, we now know that the non- or ‘sub’ conscious segment of our brain assumes the pictures we create in our heads of what happened in the past, what we want to happen, and what might happen (whether consciously created or not) are real. You have a vast array of hidden beliefs based upon all of the experiences of your life, especially those thoughts or beliefs imparted to you by your parents, teachers, and others when you were a child.

Taken all together, this means that no research, no matter how thorough, can accurately determine what the right decision is for you: whether it’s a decision to proceed with surgery, take an experimental drug, buy a business, hire a new employee, or take skydiving lessons. This is why it’s so critical that you regain your ability to recognize, respect, access, and effectively use your intuitive abilities and to cultivate those aha! moments that bring such clarity.

So begin to harness your ability to brilliantly guide your work and life in its ideal direction by asking yourself each time you make a decision what your inner wisdom recommends. Asking this simple question begins to awaken your intuitive muscles and acknowledge your unique perspective and brilliance. Look for more ideas and tools for developing your intuition and cultivating Aha! Moments over the next six weeks.

Beautifully said! I can’t think of a more succinct way to emphasize how important it is for us to urge the left and right hemispheres of our brains to work together. It’s identical to what’s currently happening between the genders– the battle is over and we’re now figuring out a way to be women without excluding men.
